We’re less than a day and half away from Starship Congress and the purpose of this blog is to provide attendees and live streaming viewers with useful information to make your experience as positive as it can be.

*Please note: For attendees flying into Dallas who are not getting a rental car, the Anatole Hilton recommends Supershuttle 817-329-2000, 800-258-3826, supershuttleshuttle.com, at a cost of $18 one way, or $36 for both ways.
You can download and printout a floor plan of the Hilton Anatole here. Registration for Starship Congress will be in the West Wing Foyer (far bottom right of the floor plan) with the presentations and evening events being held in the Cortez Room (also bottom right of the floor plan).
For those coming in directly from the car park, please par in Lot 4 directly across from the West Wing and come in through the Tower entrance.
Registration
You’ll be able to pick up your name badges, lunch tickets and event programs in the West Wing Foyer. If you plan to arrive on Wednesday (14th August) then we’ll open the registration desk up from 7.30pm to 9pm.
The registration will then be open again on Thursday morning (15th August) from 8am to 9am, then for the remainder of the event from 8.30am to 9am.
Lunch
Lunch packs will be distributed to our guests from the “Gossip Bar” (see floor plan) and then taken back to the Coronado room, where we will eat. If you’ve not purchased your lunch tickets yet then we’ll be selling them at the registration desk.
Evening Events
There are three exciting evening events planned, all of which begin at 8pm, and will be held in the Cortez room:

Friday – Starship Congress Cocktail Evening with Sarah Jane Pell
Saturday – Event a | Peter Garretson: “Space – A Billion Year Plan for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”
Saturday – Event b | “Dreaming of Starships” with Hailey Bright ”
Prizes
More details on the Black Sky Thinking Prize will be announced during the evening event on Friday.
The I4IS Alpha Centauri $500 cash prize award for the best paper presented at Starship Congress (sponsored by Icarus Interstellar) will be presented toward the end of Starship Congress on Sunday.
The Farmaker Speed Sketch Prize Awards will be awarded on Sunday morning during the 9am Keynote.
